Claire Bailey, Candidate for NEA Director
My name is Claire Bailey. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Michael, for 39 years. We have 3 children and 8 grandsons. I have been working in Food Service for 27 years, currently the Food Service Manager at Montello Elementary School in Lewiston. I helped to unite our Local, the Lewiston School Food Service Managers Association, and have been Chief Negotiator and Grievance Chair for the past 11 years. I have been a Delegate to the MEA-RA for 7 years, on the Resolutions Committee for 6 years, a Delegate to the NEA-RA for 1 year and I have been serving on the Board of Directors for MEA representing District I for 5 years. MEA is a huge part of my life and I take these positions very seriously. I will be your voice representing Maine in Washington if elected as one of your NEA Directors.
