National Board Certification
The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) is recognized for developing the professional standards that define what accomplished teachers should know and be able to do. NBPTS also administers National Board Certification, a voluntary assessment program that certifies educators who meet those standards.

MEA's Members
are Leaders Grant Application,
2008-2009
This
year, the MEA will award $1,500 in grants of up to $500 to local
Associations. The Members are Leaders Grants are designed to
help local Association members provide professional and educational
leadership in their schools and communities. This grant is
coordinated by the MEA Instruction and Professional Development
Committee.
