Praxis II Exams and Proposed Passing Scores

The State Board of Education will adopt passing scores for each test in July after a public hearing in June. In addition to taking a content area test as identified below, teachers who have not completed an approved teacher preparation program will have to pass a Praxis II PLT (Principles of Learning and Teaching exam. For more information, return to Praxis II Exams for Teachers. All teachers are encouraged to call the Maine Department of Education at 624-6603 to verify the correct Praxis II test before registering to take a test.
